Marilou Craft (writing and performance) is named Public’s choice recognition of Salon58! This distinction, accompanied by a $500 bursary, is awarded to an artist who has struck a chord with the Marsoui public.
For me, having never been to the Gaspésie, struggling to escape the city and consumed by survival, this was a defining stay. Rarely have I read, reflected, observed, listened, noted, written, slept, moved, exchanged and explored so much. I was moved. I let myself be moved. Something clicked. I started a notebook and filled it. I dared to try things out, to reveal extracts. That's why I needed to extract myself. Marilou Craft
